Studio Declaration
By using Studio Connect as a studio, you confirm that:
1. You will carry out your own checks. Before engaging any instructor you will satisfy
yourself as to their identity, qualifications, experience, insurance, right to work in
the UK, and any DBS or safeguarding requirements that apply to your setting. You will
not rely on Studio Connect for any of this.
2. You understand what our badges mean. A badge stating that a document has been
uploaded means only that a document of that type was supplied. It is not confirmation
that a qualification is genuine or current, that an insurance policy is valid or in
force, or that an instructor is competent or suitable.
3. Hiring decisions are yours. Studio Connect does not select, recommend, endorse,
vouch for or supply instructors. Match ranking is a convenience, not a recommendation.
Every decision to engage an instructor is yours alone.
4. You are responsible for supervision and the working environment. Including
induction, supervision, equipment safety, health and safety, insurance for your
premises and activities, safeguarding, and compliance with your obligations to
participants.
5. You are responsible for the engagement itself. Including determining the correct
employment status, issuing any contract, agreeing rates, and paying the instructor.
Studio Connect takes no commission and is not a party to that arrangement.
6. Your listings are genuine. Every opportunity you post is a real teaching
opportunity at your studio, described accurately, and is not used to advertise
anything else.
7. You will use messaging only for the opportunity it relates to. You will not use
contact gained through the platform for marketing, recruitment for unrelated roles, or
any purpose other than the specific opportunity.
8. You will treat instructors' data properly. Information you see about an instructor
is provided for the purpose of considering them for the specific opportunity. You will
not store it beyond what you need, share it, or use it for another purpose, and you
will comply with your own obligations under UK GDPR as a controller of that data.
You understand that Studio Connect does not employ instructors, does not guarantee their
qualifications, suitability, competence, insurance, availability or performance, and
accepts no responsibility for the outcome of any engagement.
